September 18 2016

Last night I had an amazing dinner with my extended family on my Nonna's balcony, overlooking the port. After dinner Anna and I, joined the giant crowd of teenagers on the port to watch the fireworks. I was a little disappointed because things didn't work out with my classmates, so I wasn't able to meet up with any of them, but overall it was a great night.

At the port, one of Anna's friends, Christina, was very excited to speak in English with me. When she was trying to ask me if I preferred Ragusa or Minneapolis she forgot the word for Minneapolis. Instead she said "Your Christmas City". So from now on, Minneapolis is the Christmas City.

Today we leave to visit Palermo and one of the cities close by (I forgot the name...). I'm not taking my computer so I'll let you know how it goes on Tuesday!

    I'm sorry that things did not work out with your classmates. It is just the first weekend with them and there will be many, many more opportunities.
