| This week I made my favorite cherry cheese cake for mothers day! I turned out really well and I was able to have a little mothers day celebration with Giogio, Zia Graziella and Anna. |

| Saturday night, I did what all the cool kids do and went out with Zia Graziella and Luisa (Martina's mom, Anna and Martina are best friends and so are the moms). We had a great dinner at my favorite sandwich shop. |

| Sunday I spent the whole day in Caltanisetta with rugby team. It was a hot and sunny day and despite being the only person to bring/use 50spf sunscreen and reapply it three times, I still got badly burnt. |

| This week my Auntie Syl passed away. This picture is from her 95th birthday party and the last time I saw her. When I left I knew there was a chance that I wouldn't see her again but was hoping otherwise. She was the kindest and sweetest person in the world, with a a huge heart. It was her time and she was ready to go. We will also miss her tons, but in a way I get to have her with me and show her everything for my last few weeks in Italy. |
Aunt Syl would have been 96 on May 27th. I think that she will love her tour of Sicily and a slice of cheesecake, a cannoli or a bowl of gelato.
