December 18 2016

Friday, December 16th

Christmas stalls are up in Via Roma.
Family dinner with Zia Graziella, Anna, and Ana.

Ana came up stairs and we mad some cookies.
We also ran into Santa at the mall.

Saturday, December 17th
My host family's way of life still always continues to surprise me. Today I was picked up from school in a Mercedes sports car!
My thanksgiving package, from my aunt, finally arrived after a month of waiting. Thank you Auntie Anna!
I was invited over for a lovely lunch at the Francone's house.

Mati bringing out the pasta.

Salad!

I got a hair cut. I told the hairstylist that I only wanted the dead ends cut off, but I think he cut about 3 inches! I still think it looks okay.
When I was asking people what they were doing on saturday night, most responded by saying they didn't know because it was too cold to hang out outside. I asked Giovanella, and invited a few people to come hang out at my house! One of my friends, Adri, brought Taboo!

We also played some pool.
This is almost everyone, there were a few people still playing pool.
One of the things I love about Sicilian culture, is how close friendships are.

I was up late after having people over. My family was having a holiday party and I was able to facetime and talk to the first arrivals!

Sunday, December 18
Me and Giovanella riding in the sports car on our way to our Rotary clubs christmas lunch.
On the way to the lunch, I was thinking about all the greenery compared to the now white and freezing landscape in MN.

The rotary club president! Go Giogio!
Super cute little restaurant.
