With the Holidays coming up, life is starting to become very busy with a lot of fun activities.

Tuesday night, Anna, Ana, Martina (Anna's best friend) and I made tiramisu!
Davide also came home, but I sadly didn't get a picture! I always have the irrational fear that it will be awkward with Davide, but he is so nice and easy to joke with. He said my Italian has improved (Probably because we spent less time trying to explain jokes)! |

Wednesday, I was surprised to find out there was a christmas party in the gym instead of classes. As the only exchange student in the school, sometime I just miss crucial information that everyone else seems to miraculously know. Someone could have told me not to wear clothes for gym class.

The piles of panettone. I think Italy survives off of this for the whole month of December. |
After the party a few people from 5E invited me to go out with them! that has been one of the major pluses of switching classes during the day. We all met at the park. |
After the park we took a half an hour drive down to Marina! |
It's really strange to see this view on December 21st. |
The group! |
It was T-shirt weather! |
After Marina I was dropped off directly at the bus station to go with Giovanella and Davide to pick up Silvia! It was great to finally meet her. While we were waiting at the airport, Silvia's plane was delayed and it took forever for her bags to come. I was really anxious the whole time, because I had been invited to my friends's dance show that night and had been looking forward to it all week. |
Thankfully we got home in time for me to catch the last half of the dance show. This is my friend Simonetta (Second from the left) dancing pop! |
The classical boys group, dancing jazz. My friend Jordan is on the far right. Sadly I missed him and Simonetta dancing in a pair, but Mati has a video. |

The lift |

After the performance Mati, Simo and I headed to one of the endless diciotessimo's.

Today was a really chill day at school. There was an event for the 60th anniversary and a lot of old teachers, and students came. A lot of the students acted as hosts. The rest of us were free to watch movies, play cards, and wander the school. |
In the gym there was some type of display, and students playing instruments, |
We had a family lunch. Anna and Ana were out, but Nonna came down with more food and to sit with us for a bit. |
Silvia brought all kinds of treats from the States! I hear there are a ton of different Oreo's downstairs in Anna's apartment, and as I was writing this blog Silvia came to give me a candy cane! December in Italy has enough sweets and heavy food as is, but sometimes I just can't resist. |
The view in Marina is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's 64 degrees in December.
The picture of you and your friends at the beach freaked me out a bit. From far away you look just like your sister!!!
I am so glad that you switched to other classes during the week. It is nice to hear that kids are starting to include you in out of school activities (besides the birthday parties.) Have fun with the whole, big family over the holiday break :)
