One of the interesting aspects of exchange is not only adapting to a different culture, but to the lifestyle of your host family. Thursday after school a good friend of my host mom's came over. But in addition to being a good friend, she is Giovanella's masseuse. So, on a normal thursday during a school week I got an amazing massage.

On friday my science class went to the lab to make soap out of olive oil. Unlike many American schools, Italian schools don't do many labs, so it was a fun experience during the day.

Yesterday was a Saturday, meaning the odds of there being a diciotessimo were very high. The party had particularly good dance music so I had a lot of fun. One of the struggles is that when there is loud music it's really hard to communicate with anyone especially because I can't lip read italian, so it can feel a little isolating.
